Reminders

Remember that it is unlawful for any owner to allow an animal to run at large within the corporate limits of the City. Please put your animal on a leash!

If you have a US Flag that needs retired, drop it off at City Hall, and the Boy Scouts will take care of it for you.

Public attendance and input is always encouraged at Dallas Center public hearings, City Council meetings, Economic Development Committee meetings, and other meetings listed in the Events Calendar.

Is your family ready for the next severe weather? Do a reality check here.

Always Call 911 immediately about any active or developing traffic, fire, weather, abuse, violence, criminal activity, medical condition or other situation you believe might be an imminent threat to life or property.

Welcome to Our Community!

Dallas Center - Quietly Progressive.

We are a community of 1600 that is proud of where we've been and excited about where we're going. We have a rich heritage in agriculture and host companies that lead the world in animal and plant genetics. We enjoy a small town quality of life within 20 miles of the greater Des Moines community.

Our library, parks, pool and other recreational activities provide opportunities for our residents to unwind. We are home to two Dallas Center-Grimes School buildings offering high quality educational opportunities to our K-8 children in great new facilities. The DC-G School system has strong academic, fine arts and sports traditions. Kids Korner, a local daycare and preschool center, has developed a unique partnership with our schools to provide before and after school care in a controlled, fun environment. We're proud of our kids!

Thanks for visiting!
