City Council Meetings

The Dallas Center City Council meets the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm at the Legion Hall.

Public attendance and input is always encouraged at Dallas Center public hearings, City Council meetings, and other meetings listed in the Events Calendar.

The Dallas County Sheriff's Office is responsible for law enforcement for the city of Dallas Center. 515-993-4567 (Dallas County Dispatch) is the number DC residents should use for non-emergency calls regarding police issues.

Always Call 911 immediately about any active or developing traffic, fire, weather, abuse, violence, criminal activity, medical condition or other situation you believe might be an imminent threat to life or property.

If you have a US Flag that needs retired, drop it off at City Hall, and the Boy Scouts will take care of it for you.

Lena Moser Memorial Swimming Pool

The 2017 pool opening date - June 3, 2017.  The pool is open daily from 12:30-8:00 pm (weather permitting). 

Daily admission is $3, a single pass is $40, a family pass is $100 or you can purchase a punch card for $30 (15 punches).

Morning public swim lessons will be held June 19th-30th (30th will be a make-up day if needed or a pool party), 30 minute classes at 9:45-10:15 am, 10:20-10:50 am, 10:55-11:25 am and 11:30 am-noon. 

Evening public swim lessons will held July 10th-21st (21st will be a make-up day or pool party) 30 minute classes at 8:00-8:30 pm and 8:30-9:00 pm. 

Swim lesson sign-up will take place at the Dallas Center library on May 13th from 10:00 am-noon and the Grimes library on May 20th from 10:00 am-noon.

Public lesson cost is $35/two week session.  Private lesson cost is $15/each session.

Pool Information

Our community swimming pool, a very nice facility for a small community, is situated in the east part of Dallas Center at 1108 Vine Street.

Certified lifeguards are on duty.
