Fire & Rescue Department

Dallas Center Fire & Rescue proudly serves a population of 2,500 people in Dallas Center and adjacent rural areas of Sugar Grove, Adel, Grant and Walnut Townships.

We are a volunteer service providing 24 hour on call fire suppression, rescue, emergency medical and related emergency services to the community.

We operate out of one station located at 1502 Walnut Street. Our apparatus includes two pumpers, one tanker, one brush/quick attack truck and one rescue unit.

Our department is able to serve the community as a result of the countless hours of volunteer service provided by our members who live and work in the Dallas Center area.

Volunteers

Our volunteers commit several hours of their time each month responding to emergencies, attending training and meetings, and maintaining our department's equipment.

Volunteering as a firefighter or first responder is a big commitment but very rewarding. Are you interested in volunteering? If you have questions please email dallascenterfd@dallascenter.com

We welcome applications from potential new volunteers. Applications can be obtained here or at City Hall. At this time, we are particularly looking for volunteers who would be available to respond to calls during the daytime Monday - Friday.
